Youngest state in India
Telangana is the 29th state of India formed by bifurcation with Andhra Pradesh. In the year 1956, Hyderabad state which is known as Telangana has merged with Andhra to form Andhra Pradesh. Hyderabad is joint capital for both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh till ten years as instructed by Govt. of India. First chief minister of Telangana is K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
In the Deccan region, the Kakatiya kingdom (AD 1083-1323) encompassed what is now known as Telangana. After the Kakatiya kingdom was invaded by the Delhi Sultanate, the political autonomy of the region came to an end. In the course of the next two centuries, it became a province of the Bahmani Sultanate between 1347 and 1518. When the hegemony of the Bahmani Sultanate ended, the Telangana region became part of the Golconda Sultanate (1518-1687).
On 30 July 2013, the Congress Working Committee unanimously passed a resolution to recommend the formation of a separate Telangana state. In February 2014, Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014 bill was passed by the Parliament of India for the formation of Telangana state. The bill received the assent of the President and published in the Gazette on 1 March 2014

VIA TRAIN : Being the headquarter of South Central Railway; Hyderabad is well connected with all major cities of India like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kolkata. There are railway stations at Nampally and Kachiguda. Trains leaving from these two stations can also be boarded at Secunderabad railway station.
VIA ROAD : Regular services of state roadways and privately owned buses from the bus stand of the city are available. Roads are well linked with important cities and states. You can also hire rented cars or taxis to your desired destination.
